Welcome to my Homepage

We are looking forward to an EXCITING year in third grade!  We will make a great TEAM!!!  We are going to take a journey together and have a wonderful new adventure.  It will be FUN!!! 

Some things we will be learning in third grade:

  • Problem solving/critical thinking
  • Literature Circles - novel study
  • Multiplication and division facts
  • Solar System
  • Rocks and Minerals
  • Map skills
  • Communities and how they work
  • Cursive writing
  • Lots of writing - persuasive, descriptive, expository, narrative, picture prompts and poem prompts

We will be preparing for the NJASK3 in the Spring

and much, much more!!!!!

 

About the Teacher

It is a privilege for me to be your child’s third grade teacher.  I have been a teacher in the Deerfield Township School System since 1990.  During this time I have had the opportunity to be the school’s Media Specialist, Full Day Kindergarten teacher, and and ever since I have been in Third Grade. 

I received my degree in Elementary Education/ Psychology from Trenton State College (The College of New Jersey).  I also completed a Master’s certification as a Media Specialist from Rowan College.  My extra-curricular activities have included Student Council Advisor and Cheerleading Coach.  I am currently President of the Teacher’s Association.

I look forward to a new year of teaching with enthusiasm.  I am anxious to meet you.  I believe that by working together we can make this a year filled with challenges in a fun, and loving learning environment.
