The Deerfield Township School District believes that all students can function as competent, dependable human beings, can achieve mastery of basic skills, and can demonstrate responsible behavior, regardless of cultural or social background. The purpose of the school is to provide a quality education that meets the needs of our students regardless of sex, race, creed, or religion.

We affirm that all students can learn and have the right to attend our school which is safe, disciplined, and drug free. The Board of Education is therefore committed to providing a school curriculum which fosters high expectations for all students to achieve the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards while maintaining a school climate which is conducive to learning.

We believe that each child is a unique and precious individual with strengths and varying learning styles and is entitled to an education that encourages performance to the limit of his/her potential.

Learning is the result of a strong partnership of parents, teachers, and the community. Students are challenged to be active participants in the quest for excellence.

The school's mission will enable students to become knowledgeable, skillful, life-long learners, who are contributing citizens in our changing modern technological society.
